Streaming video by Ustream
We’re Shark Week junkies here at Wicked+, and thanks to Ustream, the Georgia Aquarium and Discovery Channel, we’re counting down the days till it starts by watching a live webcam from the world’s largest shark tank.
Discovery Channel teamed up with the Georgia Aquarium and Ustream by placing a live streaming webcam in the aquarium’s Ocean Voyager exhibit. The 6.3 million gallon tank, the largest of its kind in the world, is home to several types of sharks, including the massive whale shark, along with schools of predatory trevally jacks, squadrons of stingrays, the goliath grouper and four manta rays, one of which measures nearly nine feet across.
Shark Week kicks off Sunday, July 31 at 9pm EST. The livestream is scheduled to host live events throughout Shark Week, including diver Q&A sessions and shark feedings.
